D00R : TG 045 - 046 Posted on 01 Jun 2010 06:38 pm by blix
YAY I'm going to A-kon. I'll be there in the artist alley. :3 Are you going?
Aside from that, I edited the past two pages [Click here to read page 41/42, then read 43/44, and now this recent page]. If you'd like to reread them, I think they are more clear now as to what the story is about. I will post a summary below this, if your understanding of what happened in the past three pages is not what I will explain, please tell me what your understanding discrepancies are.
TWC - this scene here has been in my head for a very long time. Here's a sketch from some months ago. ^^

41 - 46 Summary Posted on 01 Jun 2010 06:41 pm by blix
There's the Earth. There's a wolf. The earth is asleep. The wolf wants to wake the Earth. The wolf goes on an epic quest that leads him beyond our world and into a new one along a thread bridge. He walks so long he cuts his feet. A star appears. The star leads him to the end of the bridge where he meets a bird.
I understand this page a whole lot more than the last page..perhaps it's because there's only a single flow of text. I'm sure if I were to look at the three spreads lined up side by side, I would understand the flow of the pages much better than previously. I get the summary...I don't quite get what it has to do with the rest of the story yet, but I'll attempt to understand in due time when more is revealed.
The "fairy-tale", itself, makes sense to me. Its a really cute, interesting little idea, I think. I'd like to see more of it.
Although, it was a little hard to grasp at first, and your transition into the tale was a little confusing. You jumped from Skittlez and Anya straight into the story and it kind of threw off the feel of the story for me, so I'm having a fairly difficult time trying to figure out how it fits in. But, I assume, it will make sense in time?
(long time reader, first time poster. My apologies for staying silent so long. Have been enjoying the ride for a few months now and am really loving your artwork as well as your growth. <3 Keep up the great work. <3)
I understood it just fine, even before the edits. I kinda liked it better before the edits, actually; the fact that the wolf's feet were cut and bleeding was a tad more subtle. I even got the part where your eyes were supposed to follow the spider's string and read the text that way. xD
In any case, the art and the general mystery surrounding the story is great! It's always a pleasure to check back on the comic every Friday or so and see how it has progressed. :3
