  D00R : TG 030 - 031 redo
Posted on 01 Sep 2010 01:00 am by blix

LATE~~~~ again, because a lot of reasons. XD Namely that my computer is being turdy. It takes forever to load something. I lose patience ... I start drawing something on paper ... and then the thing loads, but I have forgot I was waiting for it because I am now drawing something dumb. :3 And so go the hours.

Ah ... the other reason is that my personal life is sucking and I need a hug. T_____T

TWC : one of the waiting for my computer to load scrawlings. Thank you, by the way. >< TG's one year birthday, and it did stay easilly in the top 100 all month. 1,147 votes this month. ^^ I can only say thank you ... I don't know what my goal was for this comic. I think I had none, really. Only to draw it, everything else be damned. Having others like TG is a happy plus.

Also, wow. o.o; Apparently broadcasting that TG has a facebook page works to get followers, huh? Here is a close up of the wolf from this page, then. ^^ ... ah ... all this art I do, so it can be crammed into a very small rectangle...

This comic exists in part due to the support it receives in print.

But it fills the rectangle beautifully. *hugs* I love the juxtaposition of the wolf and Skittlez. It's as if the pain they feel is mutual. Also, I really like panels 3,4, and 5 of Skittlez.

I can't begin to tell you how much better the story is working now. Brilliantly solved! I like the way you've changed the text slightly - the last paragraph doesn't feel so forced as it did. However, you've misused the word 'waver' a little bit before that (sorry... please don't kill me... it would just be a shame if it went to print this way). You can waver ("wobble") /between/ two things, eg. wavering between hope and despair... but not /on/ one thing.

I hope my grammar nazi-ing isn't too annoying. I still love your comic to pieces, and I admire your redrawings.

'HUG' Sorry things are hard for you right now. I love the re-draw. The story is flowing beautifully now.

Hey, you're going to San Francisco this October, woman! Not everyone gets to rock out in an awesome city like that during the month of Halloween, so put away the gloomy face and live it up, chica.

(sends Seth plushie to give Cari a hug anyway)

Totally digging Sedna's panel, btw. It suits the length of text now and feels more like a children's book; one where you read the text and glance back at the large image that depicts a part of it.

Well, waver can mean more than "wobble" and you can most definitely do more than waver "between" things ("her confidence wavered", "the building wavered then fell", etc.). Though, in this case, I would say that another word would make more sense, unless you are saying he is actually -on- hope (like metaphorically), or if you were to say "wavered in hope" (like his hope is starting to slip away). BUT this is a kind of silly thing to worry about.
The story, I think, makes much more sense with the text all put together like that. I love this. <3 ~hugs~ Hope things get better~!

Uh, yeeeeeeah. This whole 'waver' business is pretty insignificant when compared to the overall story. Plus, the wolf *is* wavering between hope and dispair at that point. That's how I read it.

Awww.... I'll give you a hug ^^ *hugs* I think the redraws look very nice.

I hope you feel better! *glomps* the redraw is great!

For what it's worth, I think the hard work and redraw was totally worth it and really helps the comic feel cohesive and put together.
