D00R : TG 106 - 107 Posted on 23 Jan 2012 03:49 pm by blix TWC: food stickers and Vidu angsting about food stickers. The comic hasn't gone there yet, but pretoiletprison, Vidu was a chain smoker. Picking a favorite food to draw him with was kind of hard. XD I know what his favorite is. Sedna and Skittlez are always easy to draw looking cute or some other marketable emotion. But Vidu is always the problematic one. It would be more accurate to have him like coffee instead of tea, but that's Anya's favorite already. (Another character impossible to draw looking cute.) Angelique's food squee is cheese. (in the vote incentive, Sedna's favorite is raw, bloody, steak, which he wriggles around violently before finally swallowing whole, and Skittlez' favorite is rainbow cake. c:)
You can't tell a fire bird god thing that he may die of lung cancer. It just isn't a very convincing argument.
Just think of the horrible withdrawl he went through. 8( As if being captured in a toilet wasn't bad enough. Definitely a chain smoker, suddenly being cut off probably drove him completely mad for several months. <~ chapter 4 spoilers. (I know, if a magical creature can't get lung cancer, can he have an addiction? I'm going with yes. The differences are in the immortal healing abilities. Cancer is a dangerous growth while an addiction is a foreign agent your body comes to rely on.)
:/ Kind of think there should be an explosion sound effect in panel 6, but it isnt like you can't see it. Is "KOOOOOM!" or "BSSSSSSHT!" or God forbid "BOOM" really going to make it more exploady than it already is? Bah.
Also, if there was ever any question about what paper I use, it is in panel six. Very clearly imprinted, even. "Arches" and "France."
Thank you very much for your comments on the last page. I didn't do any replying (I wonder if anyone sees my replies when I do reply?) But I do want you to know I'm very grateful TG has so many supporters, even after not updating for so very long. >< I will continue updating this comic, even though the pages are frequently going to be late. >< In other news, to combat the stress of so much work and never feeling like I get enough done, I've started a journal in which I don't write anything at all emotional (did you ever try and write a journal in grade school? It seemed like the thing to do, so I tried, and quickly became bored with my own feelings.) This journal is strictly dates and bulletted lists of desired goals and accomplished goals in 24 hour periods. Haven't done it long enough to know if it helps, but I'm going to try.
